Golden Girl

Look who just turned 50 today!

It's easy to envision Heather wearing a Cynthia Rowley dress, hip, trendy, and feminine:

Even since 1981 as in this photo, despite some "modifications", your gorgeous smile has not changed. Earlier in her career, she reminded me of a blonde "Sally Field".

Have a "Spinning" and "Dyna"-mic 50th birthday, Heather!

Angel Flight 922

On September 22, 1976,  this "angelic" trio made its official premiere on prime-time television.

Three Kelly dolls as Kelly, Sabrina, and Jill.

Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson, and Farrah Fawcett. These three ladies had appeared on a number of widely known TV shows before starring in this trailblazing show that lasted from 1976 to 1981.

It is still rare to have more than one leading lady in network television.

Coincidentally on the same date thirty five years later, this trio will make their debut flight.

Charlie's 2011 starring Rachel Taylor, Minka Kelly, and Annie Ilonzeh

The gorgeous ladies appeared on the Emmy red carpet (September 18, 2011) prior to the debut of their new show.

Presenting with former motion picture Charlie's Angel (and its producer) Drew Barrymore (2000 and 2003), also involved in the updated TV series.

"Dylan" (Drew Barrymore of 1981's "E.T.")) doll by Jakks.

"Alex" (Lucy Liu of "Ally MacBeal" from 1997 to 2002) doll

"Natalie" (Cameron Diaz of 1998's "There's Something about Mary")

Charlie's Angels 2000 starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu.

Keeping up with the "trio" theme,  here are new Barbie Basics dolls ready for triple the glamour and adventure:

Here is another stylish trio not missing the fashion "Target" for the "red and white" carpet.

Hopefully after all the publicity hype, "Charlie's Angels 2011" with its fresh and slick production, will be able to attract a new generation of viewers and also spark a renewed interest for the fans of the legendary show that premiered thirty five years ago.
