Alice in Wonderland received acclaim from the Golden Globes as evident in the number of nominations. My daughter and I thought the movie was just "ok".
I thought Helena Bonham Clark was outstanding in her role as the wicked Queen of Hearts. She received a nomination for her role in The King's Speech. So what if her shoes did not match. She is an exceptionally gifted actress.

Although Christina Aguilera did not garner any awards for her performance in Burlesque, she looked glamourous that evening in a mermaid-like gown. At least she could walk without tripping.
Although Cher who was not able to be at the awards due to performing in Vegas, she was the performer of the this years' Golden Globe award winning song by Diane Warren.
It would be nice for her to perform the song looking as showstopping as her own Barbie from 2001, the first "Cher" Barbie from Mattel.
Or she could "turn time back" further to 1987. "If I Could Turn Back Time" and "Just Like Jesse James" were big hits in the late 1980's for this 60+ veteran pop diva.
There was that unnecessary tape that held that "cloudy" layer to the sides of the box! Was it there to "censor" her outfit?
After some fidgeting to remove a strip of tape, here is the Cher Barbie in that iconic leather, body suit, and stockings.
American Idol turned pop/country star Carrie Underwood was nominated for her song along with other writers in Narnia.
Country music is still going "strong" as evident in "Crazy Heart" (Jeff Bridges won for best actor at the Oscars last year) and "Country Strong" starring Gwyneth Paltrow.
From 1999 in the Grand Ole Opry series, the "Rising Star" Barbie. Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton come to mind for the great ladies of country. Sissy Spacek was unforgettable in 1980's Coal Miner's Daughter.

Jennifer Lopez is not a contender in the Golden Globes this year, but she was a presenter in a more conservative gown. Has motherhood "tamed" her? Let's see if the new American Idol judge will "get loud" and trendy.

James Franco was nominated for Best Actor for his performance in 127 Hours. In 2002, he won the Golden Globe for his convincing performance in the "James Dean" mini-series. Maybe it's just me, but I am now getting him confused with Joseph Gordon-Levitt of "Inception".

Scott Caan (eldest son of veteran actor James Caan) of the new "Hawaii Five-O" was nominated for actor in a supporting role (Detective Danny "Danno" Williams) for a mini-series or motion picture. Just thinking about "Hawaii Five-O" conjures up images of those beach loving dolls.

Disney is no "alien" to the Golden Globes.
It was no surprise that Toy Story 3 won for best animated series.
As mentioned by the gentleman who accepted the award, Justin Bieber (16 years) and Hailee Steinfeld (14 years) were not probably old enough when the original Toy Story came out!

Nominee Amy Adams for The Fighter looking classy in a Marchesa gown. She would have looked more stunning in a gown of another shade and in another hairdo. What would happen if Patrick Dempsey accompanied her on the red carpet?
She and Grey Anatomy's McDreamy doctor, Patrick Dempsey, starred in Disney's "Enchanted" a few years ago.
GLEE won the award Best Television , series, comedy, or musical. Stars Chris Colfer and Jane Lynch also received awards for their performances. I am surprised that there are no GLEE dolls in the market just like the popular High School Musical.

Who would think that "The Social Network" would be award best motion picture of 2011? It's just the sign of the times.
